This site is devoted to the synthetic project DEISIS (original concept by Viktor Bondarenko). The project is based on psychological portrait reconstructions of personae from sacral history, depicted by the artist Konstantin Khudyakov in the style of hyper-realism, using digital technology and the structure of a three-tier iconostasis. INTERCESSION will include exhibitions, concerts and publication of an album. The site features a description of the project, components from the installation, essays by Roman Bagdasarov, biographical details of the personae, texts on the history of the traditional iconostasis, and a forum. It has been continually refreshed since early 2004.
